Following up from a previous post we thought we'd share our findings from exhibiting at the Gifted Contemporary Craft and Design Fair at the RDS Dublin. What an experience ! With over 400 designers, makers and independent retailers this is the biggest craft & design fair in Ireland and is the biggest Christmas gift shopping event in the country. It took place from Wednesday 6th December – Sunday 10th December 2023 and what a week we had.
After much preparation in designing the stand, making extra product, loading vans and travelling to Dublin we arrived on the Tuesday to frantically decorate and stock the stand amidst the busy throng of the other numerous exhibitors doing the same. Finally we were ready.

From the doors opening at 10 am on Wednesday through to them closing at 6pm on the Sunday we were kept on our toes. Meeting so many people - new and current customers, fellow exhibitors (some who also became customers!) and the event staff and organisers. It was filled with shoppers looking to purchase gifts for family, friends and for "Kris Kindle" (Secret Santa to rest of the world) amidst a very pleasant festive atmosphere.
Thankfully we had prepared well and didn't run out of any products but we did sell out all our Gift Sets (we'll be better prepared next time). Aside from gift sets and Christmas Fragrances our best selling products were our Wild Atlantic Day Natural Wax Candle, Sand Dune eco-conscious Reed Diffuser and Coastland vegan friendly Wax Melts.

Come Sunday evening, very tired from 5 long days, we frantically dismantled the stand, packed and loaded the van and headed home.
So, Gifted 2023 was a whirlwind of creativity and camaraderie! Over the five days, an array of gifts were showcased. It was amazing to see the diversity of talent among our fellow exhibitors, from up-and-coming artisans to established brands. We swapped stories and tips, forming new connections and friendships along the way. Enda Cavanagh, Indi, Emily's Art, Bespoke Designs, Cementique and Mise by Majella who were trading on the same thoroughfare require a special mention as do Jo Browne who we were aquainted with previously from other events.
We would also like to shout out to Stories by Ola, Born & Bred, Blackfire Hot Sauces and Swimclub who either made us smile, tickled our palate or gave us food for thought.
The energy was infectious, the atmosphere was buzzing with excitement and inspiration. A great success - we can't wait to do it all again next year.
